The Tomei head gasket is a high-performance component engineered for 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE engines, specifically fitting the 1987-1998 Toyota Supra (MK3 and MK4 models). This gasket is constructed with ultra-durable, premium-grade materials, including stainless steel, which provides excellent resistance to high temperatures and efficiently transfers heat away from the combustion chamber. Its unique rubber coating on both top and bottom layers reinforces the seal against the head and block surfaces. Unlike some other gaskets where increased bore seal thickness can compromise oil and water routes, Tomei's design ensures even pressure distribution across the entire sealing surface, preventing leaks and ensuring optimal circulation of engine fluids. This construction method helps to prevent common issues like blown gaskets and potential cylinder block damage under extreme conditions.
