The Sonnax 2nd Gear Super Hold Servo Kit (22301B-01K) is engineered as the largest and most leak-free servo available for Chrysler 46RH/RE, 47RH/RE, 48RE, and A727 transmissions. This upgrade reduces the need for aggressive lever ratios, excessively high line pressure, or other radical modifications to achieve firmer shifts. Sonnax's exclusive design incorporates both rubber and PTFE seals, which enhance positive sealing and prevent case wear. The result is increased holding force in 2nd gear, leading to firmer 1-2 shifts and 2-3 shifts that become progressively firmer under load. This servo kit boasts a 16% increase in apply area for greater band holding power and exhibits 15% less leakage compared to other designs. Constructed from durable, anodized aluminum, it is built for longevity. The kit includes the servo cover, piston, sleeve, pin, retaining ring, and necessary seals and seal rings. Complementing the servo kit, the Sonnax Accumulator Piston Kit addresses common issues with OE plastic accumulators found in these Chrysler transmissions, which are prone to breaking and poor sealing. This kit also improves upon aftermarket metal rings that suffer from sealing problems. The improved design and materials, including rubber D-rings for superior sealing and a PTFE guide seal to prevent case wear, eliminate cross-leaks between circuits. The piston itself is made from anodized billet aluminum for enhanced durability.
