The J&L Oil Separator 3.0 is engineered to combat the issue of oily mist and vapors accumulating in your vehicle's intake system. During normal engine operation, crankcase pressure is vented back through the intake, carrying oil particles that can contaminate intake tubes, manifolds, and fuel. This J&L Oil Separator effectively captures these vapors before they reach the intake, helping to maintain fuel octane and overall engine cleanliness. Constructed from solid billet aluminum, this oil separator boasts a durable build with a knurled tank base for easy removal and an O-ring seal to prevent leaks. It features a 3oz capacity and utilizes a fine mesh stainless steel filter designed to trap oil vapors, releasing them once they become heavy enough to fall. This specific model is designed for 1997-2013 Chevy/GM trucks and SUVs equipped with the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, or 6.2L engines. Fitment extends to 2014 for Suburban/Tahoe/Escalade models and 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra 2500/3500 with the 6.0L engine. However, the optional reservoir extension is not compatible with 2500/3500 trucks due to a larger power steering reservoir neck. Additionally, some trucks may have an M8x1.25 mounting hole instead of the typical M6x1.0. It is important to note that this product is NOT CARB exempt and is not for legal sale or use in California or any other state that adopts California emission standards.
