The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is a driver-side catch can designed to reduce oil vapors in your engine's intake. It features a solid billet aluminum construction and a multistage filter system.

This system collects fine oil vapors, allowing clean air to pass through to the intake. It helps prevent oil accumulation in the intake tube and manifold, which can dilute fuel and lower octane levels. This is particularly beneficial for forced-induction vehicles.

The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is a driver-side catch can engineered to mitigate oil vapor contamination in your engine's intake system. Crafted from solid billet aluminum, this unit is built for durability. It measures 3oz in capacity and features a knurled tank base for easy draining, complemented by an O-ring seal to prevent leaks. The separator utilizes a multistage filtration process. Initially, a fine mesh stainless steel screen captures the smallest oil vapors. Once heavy enough, these vapors are released to fall into the reservoir. They then pass through a 1/2-inch thick, 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter, where they coalesce into larger droplets before falling to the bottom. This system ensures that by the time air exits the separator, the oil particles are too heavy to be carried into the intake tract. This oil separator is designed for 2005-2024 Toyota 4Runners with the 4.0L engine. It is also compatible with 2005-2021 Toyota Tacomas and FJ Cruisers. Regular draining every 2000-3000 miles is recommended to maintain optimal performance.
