Constructed from solid billet aluminum, the J&L Oil Separator 3.0 boasts a 3oz capacity and features OEM-style quick-connect PCV fittings for a seamless installation. The process begins with a fine mesh stainless steel screen, followed by a 1/2-inch thick aluminum honeycomb filter. These stages work to condense the oil vapors, allowing them to grow heavier and fall into the easily removable collection tank at the bottom. By trapping this oil, the system prevents it from entering the intake manifold, runners, and ultimately diluting your fuel, thereby maintaining its octane level. Regular servicing involves draining the collected oil every 2000-3000 miles, ensuring the 3oz capacity is more than adequate for typical operation.
