These rebuildable shocks utilize a robust 3-inch diameter shock tube and are designed to cycle 12 inches of travel, making them an excellent choice for upgrading the rear suspension of your 1980-1996 Ford F150. The piggyback reservoir design aids in shock consistency and helps to lower oil temperatures during demanding use. With three adjustable tubes, you gain significant tuning capability to fine-tune oil flow at different stages of the suspension travel. King Shocks ships these units pre-valved and shimmed based on their extensive testing for overall performance on the F150. To ensure the perfect tune for your specific needs, King encourages customers to provide details about their vehicle, such as width, tire size, added weight (like roll cages or plate bumpers), and intended use (street, desert, prerunning, trails). This collaborative approach ensures the shocks are precisely valved for your vehicle and driving style. Installation of these bypass shocks requires fabrication, suspension, and welding experience. Please note that shocks are built to order, and customers should anticipate a 3-4 week lead time. All shocks are shipped without a nitrogen charge.
