3.0T Forged Piston Set, 84.5mm Bore, 10:1 Compression

The IE Spec JE Forged Pistons are engineered as a robust complement to iE Tuscan I-Beam connecting rods for the Audi B9 3.0T EA839 engine. Developed in collaboration with JE Pistons, this forged piston set is combination tested to withstand up to 1000 ft-lbs of torque, offering substantial bottom-end strength for high-boost applications. Key features include a complete set of six pistons with pin locks, Pro Seal rings, and 22mm wrist pins for enhanced reliability under high boost pressures. These pistons offer a direct fit for iE Tuscan 155x22mm connecting rods and utilize the factory bore sizing (84.5mm) for a drop-in installation into stock cylinders. JE's trademarked tuff-Skirt coating is included for extended piston life. Extensive in-house testing revealed that the factory compression ratio on the EA839 3.0T engine can be susceptible to excessive knock in high-boost builds. To address this, IE has custom-specced a lowered 10:1 compression ratio. JE Pistons manufactures these high-performance pistons from a strong, lightweight forging suitable for extreme operating conditions, including professional motorsport competition. This alloy can tolerate acceleration forces exceeding 8000 Gs. The piston dish and dome are specifically engineered for the Audi B9 3.0L turbocharged engine, featuring precisely placed valve reliefs for optimal combustion and smooth flow characteristics. JE Pistons maintains rigorous quality control, with each forging verified in a dedicated cell for tight tolerances and subjected to a 23-point inspection in a controlled environment.
