The Chevrolet/GM cylinder head is a new, aftermarket, direct bolt-on aluminum casting developed from GM 3.1 and 3.4 heads. Sold by casting number 170-487 only, this head is for non-smog applications. The ProMaxx Performance CHE608N is a new, aftermarket, direct bolt-on aluminum cylinder head designed as an OEM-specification replacement for Chevrolet/GM 3.1L and 3.4L V6 engines. This head is precision machined to factory tolerances and is sold under casting number 170-487 only. It is specifically for non-smog applications. Key features include hardened valve seats for improved longevity over original cast iron seats and Manganese Bronze valve guides for superior wear resistance. The cylinder head is pressure tested to ensure leak-free operation and offers bolt-on fitment, requiring no additional machine work. This cylinder head is compatible with 1996-2008 Chevrolet and GM models, including the Rendezvous, Impala, Monte Carlo, Equinox, Venture, Alero, Oldsmobile Silhouette, Pontiac Aztek, Grand Am, Montana, and Transport.
