The Zumbrota RAA435-1577AE is a remanufactured axle assembly featuring a Chrysler 8.25-inch ring gear and a 3.21 gear ratio, designed for differentials without Posi Traction. It is built to exacting quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. The assembly includes a 10-bolt cover and is designed for semi-floating axle applications. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously inspects all internal components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are checked for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds for precise setup and longevity. Gear backlash is set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation, while axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process on all internal and external parts. This ensures the housings are returned to an OEM finish, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. The kit includes a new cover, but does not include fluid.
