3.25-Inch Carbon Fiber Rear CV Driveshaft

The Driveshaft Shop FDSH61-C is a direct-fit rear CV driveshaft engineered to replace the factory rubber-mounted shaft in select Ford Mustang models. This advanced design eliminates the need for an adapter plate at the rear end by utilizing a precision-ground CV joint that fits directly into the pinion flange, similar to the original equipment. This innovative approach not only sheds weight but also enhances power holding capacity and improves drivetrain response for a more athletic feel. Constructed from a 3.25-inch diameter carbon fiber tube, this driveshaft is built for durability and performance. It features robust billet aluminum endcaps and 300M Chromoly spline plugs. The high-speed CV joint offers twice the range of previous designs and is paired with a Spicer 1350 series solid U-joint and a forged aluminum U-joint flange to efficiently transfer power to the ground. With a rating of over 1000 horsepower, it is designed to withstand extreme engine modifications. Compatibility is specifically for the Ford Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost with a manual transmission, covering model years 2015-2017 and 2018-2023 (S550). It is important to note that emergency brake cable bracket clearance or relocation may be necessary upon installation. Failure to address this clearance could result in damage to the driveshaft and void the warranty.
