It features 76mm (3 inch) tubing to replace the restrictive factory 60mm tubing, reducing back pressure and improving exhaust flow. This downpipe includes a high-flow 200-cell catalytic converter to balance performance with emissions reduction.

The IE Tuning IEEXCI1 is a performance downpipe crafted from 304 stainless steel with TIG-welded construction, ensuring long-lasting durability. It features 76mm (3-inch) tubing to replace the restrictive 60mm factory pipe, aiming to reduce back pressure and improve exhaust flow. This downpipe is equipped with a high-flow 200-cell metal matrix catalytic converter, designed to reduce pollution and unpleasant smells while maintaining full power. An OEM-style flex section is incorporated to accommodate engine and chassis movement, preventing common failure points in aftermarket exhaust systems. To achieve optimal performance gains, Stage 2 ECU tuning is required. The manufacturer also highly recommends an IE air intake and IE FDS intercooler to complement this downpipe. The downpipe system includes mid-pipes and all necessary hardware for a complete kit. Installation should be performed by a professional, ideally on an auto lift. This downpipe is specifically designed for Gen 3 1.8T and 2.0T engines in front-wheel drive (FWD) vehicles. All-wheel drive (AWD) Quattro, or 4 Motion vehicles require a different mid-pipe section, available in the AWD MQB downpipe kit (IE Part Number: IEEXCI1). It is crucial to verify if your vehicle is AWD or FWD before ordering. Integrated Engineering, LLC disclaims any warranties or claims of emissions compliance.
