The ADTR Performance Fabtech Driveshaft Spacer is a 3/4″ thick spacer designed for 8.8″ rearends. It assures correct spline contact on the transmission's output shaft when installing a shorter PI (Police Interceptor) driveshaft.

This spacer is intended for use with civilian output shafts, PI aluminum driveshafts, and civilian front yokes. It includes the necessary hardware for installation. Depending on the vehicle year or driveshaft manufacturer, a front hybrid u-joint might be required for the PI aluminum driveshaft swap.

The ADTR Performance Fabtech Driveshaft Spacer is a critical component for facilitating the installation of a shorter PI (Police Interceptor) driveshaft in your vehicle. This 3/4″ thick spacer is specifically designed for 8.8″ rearends, ensuring proper alignment and engagement. Its primary function is to guarantee correct spline contact on the transmission's output shaft, preventing potential issues that can arise from an improperly fitted driveshaft. All necessary hardware is included for a straightforward installation process. It is important to note that the PI driveshaft upgrade is not compatible with Town Cars due to their longer wheelbase. Additionally, depending on the specific year of your vehicle and the driveshaft manufacturer, you may need to acquire a front hybrid u-joint for the PI aluminum driveshaft swap. It is recommended to measure the cap size to confirm if this additional joint is necessary, with common measurements being 1.063″ to 1.188″ or 1.125″ to 1.188″.
