The JBL GTO19T is a 3/4-inch (19-millimeter) component tweeter engineered to deliver the signature JBL sound experience in your vehicle. These tweeters are designed to handle a substantial 135 watts of peak power and 45 watts RMS, making them an excellent upgrade for factory or head-unit powered systems, or to complement existing subwoofer setups. Their robust power-handling specifications contribute to long-term reliability. Key features of the GTO19T include three-ohm voice coils, which are designed to compensate for the added resistance of thin factory-speaker wiring, providing greater output compared to other tweeters in its class. The wide frequency response, extending up to 21kHz, ensures a comprehensive sound reproduction, compensating for speaker placement variations and natural high-frequency hearing loss. This results in a more complete and engaging audio experience. With a high sensitivity of 93dB (at 2.83V/1m), these tweeters achieve significant volume and clarity even with as little as 5 watts RMS. This makes them ideal for augmenting factory speaker systems or for use in moderate power setups. The edge-driven, soft-dome tweeter diaphragms enhance power handling while reducing distortion, and provide better dispersion for improved imaging and vocal clarity. Installation is made easier with the included I-Mount tweeter-mounting system, offering options for both flush and surface mounting. A dedicated 12dB/octave high-pass passive crossover network is also included, which increases power handling, protects the tweeter, and refines the high-pass crossover point for better overall sound quality.
