Description

The EMPI 00-9600-0 is a 3/4-inch heavy-duty front sway bar engineered to enhance handling and reduce body roll in Volkswagen Type 1 vehicles equipped with ball joint front ends. This sway bar is constructed from steel with a durable zinc-plated coating for corrosion resistance. It comes with red urethane bushings, which help to absorb road imperfections while providing a more responsive connection between the chassis and the suspension. Installation requires the sway bar to be fitted to a stock width and stock height front beam. While stock clamps can be reused, they may be difficult to fit over the urethane bushings. It is recommended to purchase separate stainless steel t-bolt clamps for a more secure and straightforward installation. This sway bar is specifically designed for 1966-1979 VW Type 1 Ball Joint models, including the Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and Thing. It is not compatible with earlier link-pin front ends.
