3/4 Inch Rear Sway Bar

The UMI Performance 2635 is a 3-way adjustable rear sway bar engineered to enhance the cornering capabilities of the 1970-1981 GM F-body platform, including the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. This sway bar is constructed from 3/4 inch solid material, offering three distinct stiffness settings: 165, 222, and 315 lbs/in. It utilizes race-quality rod end links for improved handling response and allows for simple tuning to achieve optimal handling balance. The kit includes chassis brackets, works with the factory leaf spring pad, and is compatible with UMI2628 leaf spring traction bars. It is manufactured in the USA using North American raw materials, with components precision laser cut and finished with a durable powder coat. Fitment requires careful consideration: For 1970-1973 models, rear sway bars were not standard, and frame rails lack threaded bosses. UMI PN 2636 mounting plates must be installed. If a factory Z28 or Trans Am has welded mounting brackets, these must be removed, and UMI PN 2636 is required for installation. For 1974-1981 models, frame rails typically have mounting bosses. If undamaged, these are used with the UMI 2635 sway bar. UMI PN 2636 can serve as a repair plate if the factory mounting area is damaged.
