The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2063 is a complete, remanufactured axle assembly built for 1994-1997 Chevy S10 and S15 trucks equipped with the GM 8.5" rear axle. This assembly includes a 3.42 gear ratio and a Posi Limited Slip Differential (LSD), designed to enhance traction and performance. It is explicitly stated to be "w/o ZR2," meaning it does not fit the ZR2 trim level. All axle tubes are straightened to OEM specifications and housings are meticulously inspected for surface wear and cracks. A comprehensive 100% inspection is performed on all internal parts, including the ring and pinion gears, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. To guarantee longevity and precision, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Furthermore, the housings undergo a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish, and the correct rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements for optimal setup and durability.
