The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA440-1366 is a remanufactured axle assembly engineered for 1997-2003 Chevrolet S10 and S15 trucks with a 7.25-inch IFS (Independent Front Suspension). This unit features a 3.42 gear ratio and is designed for vehicles equipped with a manual transmission and specifically excludes the ZR2 option. Each Zumbrota Drivetrain axle assembly is rebuilt to stringent quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. The remanufacturing process includes a thorough inspection of all components for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal parts, such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are meticulously inspected and tested. To guarantee optimal performance and longevity, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The gears are carefully inspected for proper tooth contact patterns, and correct rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and quiet operation. Zumbrota utilizes an advanced cleaning process, including hydro-blasting and sandblasting, followed by a proprietary deep cleaning procedure. This ensures that housings are restored to OEM finish standards and prepares all components for reassembly. Units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to minimize damage during transit.
