3.42 Ratio Front Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA440-1364G is a remanufactured complete axle assembly designed for 1988-1989 Chevrolet S10 and S15 trucks equipped with the GM 7.2 IFS differential. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo a 100% inspection and testing process. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, with backlash set to ensure proper gear lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process on both internal and external parts. This rigorous cleaning method sets a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing and ensures the housing returns to an OEM finish. Units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to prevent in-transit damage. This specific assembly has a 3.42 ratio and is compatible with the GM 7.25 Inch Ring Gear IFS differential.
