The Integrated Engineering air intake system is engineered to enhance performance for VW MK7/MK7.5 and Audi 8V EA888 Gen 3 1.8T and 2.0T engines. It utilizes big 3.5-inch intake piping paired with a 5-inch air filter and smooth, 3-ply silicone couplers for optimized airflow. The design features a built-in velocity stack with a motorsport-inspired bellmouth shape to efficiently channel air into the intake piping with minimal turbulence. Installation is straightforward, with an estimated time of around one hour using basic hand tools. The system uses factory-style mounts for a precise, hassle-free fit. For those concerned about harsh environments, an optional harsh climate upgrade for the filter uses a 3-step approach with 8 pleats, penetrating oil treatment, and a pre-filter sock for superior contaminant protection. Optional lid upgrades are available in polymer or high-gloss carbon fiber. This intake system is 50-state CARB legal, carrying CARB EO Number D-838-1, ensuring emissions compliance. Flow bench testing shows up to a 67% increase in airflow compared to stock when paired with the optional IE Turbo Inlet Pipe. Power gains of up to 15WHP and 13 ft-lbs of torque are achievable, with higher increases possible on hybrid and large turbo setups.
