Overview

The BDS Suspension traction bars are fixed-length tubular bars designed to improve traction for Dodge Ram 2500 (2003-2013) and Ram 3500 (2003-2018) 4WD vehicles with a 3.5-inch diameter axle tube. These bars are constructed from 1.25-inch OD x 1/8-inch wall steel tubing and feature durometer-specific polyurethane bushings.

They reduce rear pinion angle changes, commonly known as axle wrap, during acceleration. The tubular design offers both improved aesthetics and serious axle control. These traction bars are compatible with lift kits ranging from 0 to 8 inches.

The BDS Suspension fixed-length tubular traction bars are engineered to enhance traction and control for 2003-2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2003-2018 Ram 3500 4WD models equipped with a 3.5-inch diameter axle tube. By reducing rear pinion angle changes during acceleration, these bars effectively combat axle wrap, providing a more stable and responsive driving experience. Constructed from robust 1.25-inch OD x 1/8-inch wall steel tubing, these traction bars are built for durability. They are fitted with application-specific mounting brackets fabricated from 3/16-inch steel plate and utilize durometer-specific polyurethane bushings for optimal performance and longevity. The tubular design not only contributes to structural integrity but also enhances the visual appeal of the suspension system. These traction bars are designed to be compatible with a wide range of lift kits, from 0 to 8 inches. However, for installations with less than 4 inches of lift, the bars will need to be mounted facing downward to ensure adequate frame clearance during suspension compression. It is also noted that body mount modification may be required for Crew Cab Long Bed models.
