The MPx Big Front Mount Intercooler is engineered specifically for the 2003-2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4, offering a significant upgrade over the factory intercooler. This unit boasts a robust 3.5-inch thick bar and plate core, measuring 24 inches in width and 12 inches in height. Its substantial size is designed to support engine power outputs of up to 550 horsepower. The intercooler features one-piece cast end tanks, providing superior strength compared to traditional multi-piece welded designs, ensuring durability under demanding conditions. Installation is streamlined thanks to pre-drilled mounting brackets and factory-type inlet and outlet ports, which allow for the direct use of your existing intercooler piping. This design minimizes the need for custom fabrication and ensures a straightforward fit. Performance gains have been demonstrated through testing. On a 2004 SRT-4 with Stage 1 modifications (intake, exhaust), a gain of 11 hp and 12 lbs of torque was observed over the stock intercooler. For vehicles with more extensive modifications, such as Stage 3 (intake, exhaust, larger turbo), gains of 19 hp and 21 lbs of torque at the wheels were recorded. This intercooler is suitable for a wide range of setups, from mild bolt-on modifications to high-horsepower builds with large turbochargers and built engines.
