3.5-Inch Catless Downpipe

The VRSF 3.5-inch downpipe upgrade is a performance-enhancing modification for BMW N55 engines, offering a significant improvement over the restrictive factory catalytic converter. By eliminating this component, back pressure is substantially reduced, resulting in quicker turbo spool, an increase in overall power, and a more aggressive exhaust note. This downpipe is meticulously handcrafted from tig welded, mandrel bent, 304 grade stainless steel, ensuring durability and optimal exhaust flow. The flanges are CNC machined from SS304 stainless steel for a precise fit. This downpipe also includes a Cerakote High Temperature Ceramic Coating, which acts as a thermal barrier to help keep exhaust heat contained within the pipe and out of the engine bay. This can lead to decreased intake air temperatures, as well as lower engine coolant and transmission oil temperatures. For vehicles with over 60,000 miles, VRSF highly recommends purchasing the optional turbo clamp and gaskets. Please note that this system replaces the front catalyst converter and, as a result, may not pass MOT emissions testing. Additionally, installing this downpipe might cause error messages related to lambda values to appear in the cockpit. Professional installation is guided at 4-5 hours. This downpipe is compatible with both right-hand drive and left-hand drive vehicles.
