The Integrate Engineering cold air intake system is engineered for the VW MK7 and Audi 8V MQB platform, specifically for EA888 Gen 3 1.8T and 2.0T engines. It utilizes large 3.5-inch intake piping and smooth, 3-ply silicone couplers to optimize airflow, especially for tuned engines and those with hybrid or larger turbochargers. The system includes a 5-inch air filter and is designed to fit seamlessly using factory airbox mounting points. Flow bench testing demonstrates significant improvements, with up to a 66.94% increase in airflow at -5 in/H20 when paired with the optional IE Turbo Inlet Pipe, compared to the stock intake. This enhanced flow translates to tangible power gains, with the manufacturer claiming up to 15WHP and 13 ft-lbs of torque, with potential for even greater increases on modified turbo setups. Installation is designed to be straightforward, with an estimated time of around 1 hour using basic hand tools. The system also includes a stealth coolant line at no extra cost and works with or without the SAI system. For those in harsh climates, an upgraded filter with a 3-step filtration process and penetrating oil is available, along with optional lid upgrades in polymer or carbon fiber. This intake system is CARB certified (EO Number D-838-1) and emissions compliant for all 50 states. However, some specific fitment caveats apply: it does not fit Audi A3 engines equipped with a MAF sensor, commonly found on FWD models. VW Arteon models are not compatible with the optional carbon fiber lid without relocating the washer filler neck and require the separately sold IE Turbo Inlet Pipe. Additionally, some European models may have a front crash sensor that requires modification of the heat shield for proper fitment.
