3.5" Long Travel Short Arm Suspension System

The MetalCloak TJ/LJ Wrangler 3.5" Long Travel, Short Arm Suspension System (A0235) is engineered to deliver unparalleled off-road capability and comfort for Jeep TJ and LJ models from 1997-2006. The system includes Duroflex control arms, known for their advanced dampening properties and greater misalignment compared to OEM rubber joints. It also features True Dual Rate™ coils made from high tensile chrome steel, front and rear Durotrak™ track bars with proprietary elastomer bushings, and adjustable bump stops. Additionally, the kit comes with front and rear sway bar links, braided stainless steel brake lines, and shock mounts. MetalCloak offers a choice of shock absorbers to complement this suspension system, including their own 6Pak™ and RockSport lines, or the option to use your own shocks. The 6Pak™ shocks are designed for maximum travel, while RockSport shocks are specifically valved to work with MetalCloak's True Dual Rate™ Coils for a tuned ride. The control arms are available in steel or aluminum options, both featuring the patented Duroflex Joints and adjustable forged ends for strength and durability. Steel arms utilize 1.625" x .25" DOM tubing for the lower arms and 1.25" x .187" DOM tubing for the upper arms, while aluminum arms are crafted from aircraft aluminum. All components are finished with Gold Zinc Chromate for corrosion resistance. Installation is rated as moderate, with an estimated time of 6-8 hours and no body modification required. A suspension alignment by a specialist is recommended after installation. For optimal performance and to prevent driveline vibration, MetalCloak recommends a CV driveline with all TJ/LJ kits; non-Rubicon models will require a SYE for a CV driveline. While the kit is designed to clear 35-inch tires with stock fenders, it may rub. Adding a 1-inch body lift or MetalCloak's Arched or Overline Fenders will allow for easy fitment of 37-inch tires. This kit is offered as a complete system and cannot be customized, replaced, or removed component by component; all parts are available individually if customization is needed.
