The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1656B-P is a remanufactured complete axle assembly engineered for 1990-2000 GM 3500 trucks equipped with the 14-bolt rear axle. This assembly features a 3.73 gear ratio and incorporates the G80 Posi Traction (limited-slip differential) for enhanced traction. The 10.5-inch ring gear size is standard for this application. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously inspects all components. Axle tubes are verified for OEM straightness, and housings are tested for surface wear and cracks. A comprehensive 100% inspection is performed on all internal parts, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers. To ensure reliability and longevity, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The setup includes establishing correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precision and setting proper gear backlash for optimal lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process to prepare internal and external parts, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. It is important to note that this assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, which may need to be sourced separately. This axle assembly comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
