3.73 Posi LSD Rear Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy is a fully remanufactured axle assembly designed for 1988-1999 2WD GMC 1500 Pickup trucks. This unit is built with a 3.73 gear ratio and a Posi Traction (G80) differential, utilizing a GM 10-bolt, 8.5-inch ring gear. The remanufacturing process includes rigorous inspection of all components. Tubes are straightened to OEM specifications, and housings are meticulously tested for surface wear and cracks. All internal parts, including the Ring & Pinion, gears, clutch, and carrier, are subjected to a 100% inspection. Key replacement parts include all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims, ensuring like-new performance and longevity. The housing undergoes a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore it to its original OEM finish. Correct rolling torque is precisely established using inch-pound measurements for optimal setup and durability. This axle assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts. It is specifically designed for 2WD models and features the GT4 ratio option.
