The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2039C is a remanufactured axle assembly specifically designed for the Ford 9.75 inch rear differential, ideal for 1999-2002 Ford Expedition models. This unit comes equipped with a 3.73 gear ratio and 14mm wheel studs, and is compatible with rear disc brakes. It is important to note that this assembly is for models *without* Posi Traction. The assembly includes a rear differential cover but does not include fluid. Each Zumbrota axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. This involves thorough inspection of all components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque. Axle tubes are checked to ensure they meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota utilizes a proprietary cleaning process involving hydro-blast rinsing and sandblasting, followed by shot-peening for a superior finish, setting a high standard for remanufactured axle assemblies.
