The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1653B-P is a remanufactured axle assembly engineered for GM 14 Bolt trucks manufactured between 1990 and 2000, specifically for the GM 3500 SRW Pickup models with a 3.73 gear ratio and a Posi Limited Slip Differential. Each axle assembly undergoes a rigorous rebuilding process. Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously inspects all internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, for wear and cracks. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The assembly process includes setting correct rolling torque using precise inch-pound measurements and establishing proper gear backlash to ensure optimal gear lubrication and quiet operation. Utilizing an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning process, Zumbrota ensures internal and external parts are restored to OEM finish and standards. Axle tubes are also inspected and straightened to meet OEM specifications. This full-floating axle assembly includes the differential cover but does not include fluid.
