The Motive Gear differential ring and pinion set provides a robust upgrade for GM 9.5-inch 14-bolt rear axles. Built from high-strength 8620 steel, these gears are developed through extensive racing research and design to withstand the stresses of both daily driving and off-road environments. Technical specifications include a 3.73 gear ratio with an 11-tooth pinion gear and a 41-tooth ring gear. The assembly utilizes 12 ring gear bolts and features a 1.876-inch pinion shaft diameter with a 30-spline count. This set is designed for standard rotation and requires a 14-bolt differential cover. Installation requires specific carrier preparation for proper operation. It is mandatory to use this gear set with a 3.42 and numerically higher ratio differential carrier. Failure to use the compatible carrier will result in improper fitment and potential gear damage. This component is compatible with a broad range of vehicles, including various models from Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Hummer, and Saab.
