3/8 Valve Locks Steel 7 Degree- Single Groove

The COMP Cams 603-16 is a set of 16 pairs of hardened steel street locks. These locks feature a single groove design, a 7-degree lock angle, and are designed for a 3/8-inch valve stem size. They are intended as a direct replacement for stock engine rebuilds and are recommended for street applications with lighter valve spring loads.

It is crucial to ensure that valve locks correctly match the valve size. When properly positioned, there should be a small gap between the two halves of the lock. If the halves fit together without a gap, they are too large, and if they fit tightly to the stem leaving a gap between the lock's center and the stem's outer diameter, they are too small.
