Description

The Kent-Moore EN-51267 is an oil pump housing aligner tool. It is essential for centering the oil pump housing to the crankshaft on Gen V V6 and V8 engines to ensure proper performance and prevent engine damage. The tool mounts to the front of the block before oil pump removal to determine the correct installed position.

During installation, the oil pump is seated against the EN-51267, and its fasteners are tightened. On V6 engines, this tool also aligns the LOMA (AFM) or engine valley cover to the timing cover surface to prevent oil leaks and ensure the AFM system functions correctly. Failure to use this aligner can lead to oil pressure and flow issues, potentially causing engine damage or requiring an oil pump replacement.
