The AMS Performance 3.8L VR38 Stage 2 Long Block is a high-performance engine solution designed for extreme horsepower builds in Nissan GTRs. This fully assembled long block is precision-crafted using advanced in-house equipment and features reinforced components capable of handling the immense power of OMEGA and ALPHA performance packages. It is meticulously assembled in a state-of-the-art, temperature and humidity-controlled clean room to ensure top-tier quality and durability. Key technical specifications include a 3.8-liter displacement, 95.5 mm bore, 88.4 mm stroke, and an approximate compression ratio of 9.5:1. This engine is recommended for a rev limit of up to 8200 RPM and is capable of supporting approximately 1300 WHP and 900 lb-ft of torque. The build sheet features an AMS Stage 2 Short Block with components such as Manley 300M connecting rods, Manley Pistons to AMS Spec (OMEGA), ARP CA 625+ head studs, and an AMS Billet Deep Oil Pan, among other upgrades. The Stage 2 Head Package includes reconditioned cylinder heads with Ferrea high-performance valves, AMS ALPHA 272 Camshafts, and proprietary modifications. This long block is intended as a solution for high horsepower builds and is best suited for the Omega 11 and Omega 13 turbo kits, supporting up to 62mm inducers. It comes fully assembled and ready for manifolds and accessories. The process utilizes your existing engine as a core, and new OEM gaskets, seals, and hardware are used throughout.
