The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2268C is a remanufactured rear axle assembly meticulously rebuilt for the 2012 Ram 1500. This unit features the Chrysler 9.25ZF differential with a 3.92 gear ratio and is specifically designed for 2WD models. Each axle assembly undergoes rigorous inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Zumbrota Drivetrain ensures the highest quality standards by thoroughly inspecting and testing all internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. To guarantee longevity and optimal performance, all bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are checked for correct tooth contact patterns and rolling torque measurements. The assembly is set to correct gear backlash for proper lubrication and quiet operation, and axle tubes are inspected to meet OEM standards of straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure for internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process. This sets a high standard for remanufactured axle assemblies. This specific model features a 9.25-inch ring gear, a 12-bolt cover, and a 3.92 gear ratio. It is built by ZF and is configured without Posi Traction. The axle type is semi-floating, and the cover is included. It has a fluid capacity of 2.35 gallons but does not include fluid. Mounting hardware is not included.
