The Chevrolet Performance 3-Bar MAP Sensor, with part number 55567257, is a genuine GM component that serves as an excellent upgrade for vehicles utilizing forced induction systems. This sensor replaces the now-discontinued 12592525 (red) sensor, with the new part number (blue) offering updated specifications. It is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) MAP sensor for GM's LSA and LS9 supercharged engines. Engineered for performance, this 3-bar sensor can accurately measure up to 30psi of boost, making it ideal for supercharged or turbocharged applications. It offers broad compatibility, working with numerous factory Powertrain Control Modules (PCMs) as well as various aftermarket Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) systems. Installation of this MAP sensor requires tuning for optimal performance. A critical compatibility note is that this sensor WILL NOT WORK with an E40 ECM. Additionally, the Chevrolet Performance 12592525 MAP sensor is specifically designed for LSA and LS9 car engines and will not properly fit a truck application.
