Overview

The Genuine GM 55567257 is a 3-Bar MAP sensor designed for supercharged and forced-induction applications. This blue sensor supersedes the discontinued red 12592525. It is the original-equipment MAP sensor for GM LSA and LS9 supercharged engines, including LS9-powered ZR1 applications.

This sensor is capable of reading manifold pressure up to 30 psi of boost, making it suitable for compatible supercharged and turbocharged engines. It works with many factory PCMs and aftermarket EFI systems that are configured and calibrated for this specific sensor.

The Chevrolet Performance 3 Bar MAP Sensor is an OEM replacement designed for LS9 engines and serves as an upgrade for forced induction applications. This sensor replaces GM part number 12592525 and is also known as 55567257. It is capable of measuring up to 30 psi of boost. This MAP sensor is specifically recommended for forced induction setups and is the factory sensor for GM LSA and LS9 supercharged engines. It supersedes the older red MAP sensor, part number 12592525, with the new blue sensor, 55567257. Installation of this sensor requires tuning. It is important to note that this MAP sensor WILL NOT WORK with an E40 ECM.
