The LSX Innovations AL12 LS Swap Plates are precision-engineered components designed to facilitate the installation of 1997-2013 LSX style engines into a wide range of Chevy vehicles originally equipped with 3-bolt motor mounts. This includes many 1960s and 1970s Chevrolet pickups and cars such as the Camaro, Nova, Chevelle, and Impala. This eliminates the need for users to grind down either the adapter plates or the motor mounts for a proper fit, a common necessity with other products on the market. The non-adjustable design of the AL12 plates positions the LS engine one inch forward from the original Chevrolet SBC/BBC motor mount location. This forward placement is often ideal for clearing firewall obstructions. While these plates offer a direct forward placement, the company also offers adjustable LS swap motor mounts for those requiring more flexibility with header, oil pan, cross member, or steering box configurations. It is important to note that these specific LS swap plates will not accommodate low-mount AC compressors.
