3" Cat-Back Exhaust System

The Thermal R&D 3" Cat-Back Exhaust System is engineered to enhance the performance and sound of the Ford Explorer ST (2020-2027 models). Constructed from T304 mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing, this system provides a significant increase in exhaust flow compared to stock. Featuring true Helmholtz technology, the exhaust system effectively eliminates annoying drone while producing a deeper, throatier exhaust note. The system includes polished 4" dual angle cut tips and is designed to connect after the catalytic converters, ensuring OE emissions are not altered. Installation is straightforward, requiring no cutting or welding, as it utilizes OEM catalytic converters/downpipes and hangers. Heads up for 2026+ Ford Explorer ST owners: Some 2026+ model year Explorer ST vehicles may be equipped with a Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) depending on trim level and production market. Installing this exhaust on a GPF-equipped vehicle may trigger a Check Engine Light. This system is designed to fit 2020-2027 Ford Explorer ST models.
