3" Catback Exhaust System

The Thermal R&D 3" Catback Exhaust System is designed to upgrade your 2020–2026 Ford Explorer ST, offering a full 3" front pipe back configuration for enhanced exhaust flow and an aggressive sound profile. This system utilizes True Helmholtz Technology, a proprietary resonance-tuning design that specifically targets and eliminates low-frequency exhaust frequencies responsible for cabin fatigue during drives, ensuring a refined and intentional exhaust note. Constructed from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel, the exhaust system is built for exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion. The tubing and front muffler feature a mill finish, while the rear Helmholtz chambers boast a brushed stainless finish, providing a premium appearance. This system bolts directly to the OEM catalytic converters and downpipes, utilizing factory hanger locations and fitting the OEM rear valance without requiring any cutting or welding. The dual 4" angle-cut tips are finished in an aggressive black coating, offering a stealthy, blacked-out aesthetic, and are also available in polished stainless and carbon fiber finishes. A critical compatibility note exists for 2026 Ford Explorer ST owners: some models may be equipped with a Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF). If your 2026 Explorer ST has a GPF, this exhaust system is not compatible and may trigger a Check Engine Light. Compatibility can be verified via the VIN or the Vehicle Emissions Control sticker under the hood. The manufacturer is actively developing a GPF-compatible system.
