The ARM Motorsports 3" Catless Downpipes are engineered for BMW models featuring the 4.4L V8 Twin-Turbo N63R and N63B engines. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel with a 3-inch diameter, these downpipes are designed to directly replace the factory catalytic converters. By eliminating this restriction, the exhaust system experiences reduced back-pressure, enabling the turbochargers to spool more quickly. This improved exhaust flow translates to noticeable gains in power and torque across the entire RPM range. They include a flex section to manage stress and a lower bracket that secures to the transmission housing, providing a robust and stable connection. Two O2 sensor bungs are incorporated on each downpipe to allow for the reinstallation of O2 sensors in their factory locations, which is crucial for the DME to accurately monitor fuel mixture and maintain smooth engine operation.
