3" Cold Air Intake System

This system eliminates the restrictive factory airbox, allowing air to enter from all angles. It utilizes a powdercoated aluminum heat shield, complete with a rubber hood seal, to effectively isolate the intake from engine bay heat. The heat shield features a larger 3" inlet compared to the factory 2.75" inlet, and is paired with a powdercoated 3" mandrel-bent aluminum turbo inlet tube, establishing a true 3" diameter intake path from the filter to the turbo. Construction is robust, featuring laser-cut brackets and tig-welded seams for long-term durability. Beyond performance gains, the Cool-Flo Plus system transforms the auditory experience of the Focus ST. The removal of the factory airbox allows for a much more aggressive and sporty engine note, with the distinct sounds of the turbo spooling and diverter valve engaging becoming prominent, which many enthusiasts find as appealing as the increase in horsepower and torque. Installation is supported by comprehensive hardware and detailed instructions. The ITG air filter used in this system is model #15JC60/73C. The product is also backed by a Lifetime Warranty. It is important to note that all open filter air intake kits, including this one, will create a noticeable increase in induction noise. Only an ITG filter (part#15BH-262) used within the stock air box will maintain OEM sound levels.
