3-Inch Cat-Back Exhaust

The Cobb Stainless Steel 3-Inch Cat-Back Exhaust is a performance upgrade for the 2022-2026 Subaru WRX equipped with the FA24WGT engine, available for both manual and CVT transmissions. This system is crafted from mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing, maintaining a consistent 3-inch diameter from the catalytic converter outlet to the rear. The larger 3-inch diameter offers significantly improved exhaust flow capacity compared to the factory system, leading to reduced backpressure. This reduction in backpressure directly benefits the turbocharger, allowing it to spool more freely and reach boost targets faster. Cobb has meticulously engineered this cat-back system as a matched assembly, specifying the mid-pipe diameter, resonator volume, muffler packing, and tip size to achieve a specific sound character. The result is an exhaust note that is intentionally louder and more purposeful than stock, with a tuning focus on minimizing highway cruise drone. This system is designed to complement Accessport calibrations at Stage 2 and above, completing the full-system flow improvement required for higher boost targets.
