3-Inch Cat-Back Exhaust System

The Thermal R&D B917-C917-F is a comprehensive 3-inch front pipe back exhaust system specifically designed for the 2020-2027 Ford Explorer ST equipped with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine. This system extends from the catalytic converters all the way to the rear tips, offering a significant upgrade in exhaust flow compared to traditional cat-back systems. Constructed from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel, this exhaust is built for longevity and resistance to the elements. It incorporates Thermal R&D's proprietary True Helmholtz Technology, which effectively targets and eliminates problematic low-frequency exhaust drone, ensuring a comfortable and refined driving experience during cruising. The system connects after the factory catalytic converters, meaning it does not affect vehicle emissions. Owners of 2026 and newer Ford Explorer ST models should be aware that some vehicles may be equipped with a Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF). If your 2026+ Explorer ST is equipped with a GPF (verifiable via the Vehicle Emissions Control sticker under the hood), this exhaust system is not compatible and may trigger a Check Engine Light.
