The Thermal R&D 3" Cat-Back Exhaust System with Mid Pipes is engineered for the Ford Explorer ST, offering a more aggressive and higher-flowing exhaust. Constructed from T-304 stainless steel, it features mandrel-bent tubing for optimal performance and durability. It is equipped with 4-inch dual angle-cut black coated tips that complement the OEM valance. Heads up for 2026+ Ford Explorer ST owners: Some 2026+ model year Explorer ST vehicles may be equipped with a Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) depending on trim level and production market. Installing this exhaust on a GPF-equipped vehicle may trigger a Check Engine Light.

The Thermal R&D B917-C917-C is a 3-inch cat-back exhaust system designed for the Ford Explorer ST. It features T-304 stainless steel construction with mandrel-bent tubing for improved flow. The system includes mill finish front mufflers, brushed finish rear Helmholtz chambers, and resonator for a deeper sound.

This exhaust system mounts to the OEM catalytic converters and utilizes OEM hangers. It comes with black-coated, 4-inch dual angle-cut tips that fit the OEM valance, providing an aggressive look. The design aims to eliminate drone while enhancing the exhaust note.
