This system boasts an impressive 3-inch diameter tubing, the largest available, to provide optimal, unrestricted airflow and a significant increase in horsepower. By relocating the air filter into the front driver's side inner fender compartment, this true cold air system draws in dense, ambient air away from the searing heat of the engine bay, leading to improved combustion and power output. It utilizes a rubber-isolated mounting bracket to dampen engine vibrations for a smooth, rattle-free ride. You have the choice between a washable, reusable oiled multi-layer cotton gauze filter or a dry paper media filter to suit your maintenance preferences. This intake is specifically engineered for Volkswagen Golf Mk4 and Jetta Mk4 models equipped with 1.8T or 2.0L 8V engines. It is 50-State Street Legal under CARB EXEMPT EO # D236-25. However, due to the filter element's low placement in the inner fender, this Race Series intake is not recommended for vehicles frequently driven in heavy wet weather or areas with excessive standing water. For such conditions, NEUSPEED recommends their P-Flo short ram system to eliminate the risk of water ingestion.
