3 Inch Cowl Hood

The Anderson Composites Type-CP (COPO style) carbon fiber cowl hood is a premium aftermarket upgrade designed specifically for the 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro. This hood is meticulously hand-crafted using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth. It features a marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors, polished to a high luster finish, ensuring both durability and aesthetic appeal. The underside of the carbon fiber hood (A side) is bonded to a fiberglass 'skeleton' (B side) for added strength and support, finished in a matte black enamel. Installation requires the use of OE hardware (not included) and hood pins for safety. It is crucial to note that gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts should not be installed, as they can place too much pressure on a composite hood and cause cracking. A heat shield is also required. Minor adjustments may be necessary during installation, and professional installation by an experienced body shop specializing in carbon fiber components is recommended for optimal fitment. This hood does not have a provision for the OE windshield washer nozzles and hose. It also features a note that while it fits 2010-2013 models, it also fits 2014-2015 models, though the center of the hood will retain the 2010-2013 body line.
