3-Inch Exhaust Front Pipe with Sports Cat Option

The Cobra Sport SU71 is a performance exhaust front pipe specifically engineered for the Subaru Impreza STI Turbo Hatchback models from 2008 to 2011. This hand-made, UK-manufactured exhaust system is crafted from certified grade 304 stainless steel with TIG welding for a superior, durable finish and comes with a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. Constructed with 3-inch (76.2mm) bore pipework, this front pipe connects directly from the turbo to the vehicle's center section. Buyers can choose between a Sports Catalyst version or a De-Cat version. The Sports Catalyst option integrates a larger-than-standard 4.5-inch (114.3mm) 200-cell high-flow sports catalyst, designed to maximize flow rates and facilitate significant performance tuning upgrades while aiming to comply with road legality. The De-Cat version is explicitly sold for motorsport and off-road use only. It is important to note that the Sports Catalyst version replaces a factory emissions device and is not EC homologated, which may mean it does not meet current emission laws for road use in all territories. All necessary fittings and gaskets are supplied, with the exception of the turbo gasket. Cobra Sport accepts no responsibility for the use of parts that remove emissions devices on public highways, and customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all local laws. Additionally, the removal of the standard OE catalyst may cause the EML (Engine Management Light) to illuminate. An ECU re-map is recommended to rectify this issue and to fully stabilize and optimize any power gains achieved with this performance exhaust system.
