The Truxxx 101055 lift kit provides a 3-inch increase in front ride height and a 1-to-1.5-inch increase in rear ride height for 1998-2012 Ford Ranger, Explorer, and Mercury Mountaineer models equipped with the 8.8-inch rear axle. This kit is designed for both 2WD and 4WD applications, including specific configurations for the Ford Ranger 2WD (6-lug chassis, Edge or Pre Runner option), Explorer Sport Trac (2WD and 4WD), Explorer SUV (4WD, 4-door), Explorer Sport SUV (4WD, 3-door), Mercury Mountaineer (4WD), and Mazda B3000/B4000 (2WD and 4WD). This lift kit is engineered as a direct bolt-on installation, requiring no cutting or specialized tools, though a common puller is recommended for ease. Aftermarket longer shocks are not required and can lead to a less desirable ride. The kit includes two front torsion keys, two shock extenders, rear add-a-leafs, and U-bolts, along with all necessary hardware, detailed instructions, and updated alignment specifications. Recommended installation time is approximately 3-4 hours, plus alignment. The manufacturer suggests a 32-inch tall tire on a stock-style offset wheel (e.g., 32 x 11.50 on a 15-inch +0 offset rim) after installation. It is advised to test fit wheels and tires after the lift is installed, as tire and wheel manufacturers use different measurement standards.
