The Speedway Motors 9108606 is a 3-inch front and 5-inch rear drop spring lowering kit specifically engineered for 1963-1972 Chevrolet and GMC C10 pickup trucks. This kit aims to provide a significant altitude adjustment, achieving an "in the weeds" look while leveling the vehicle and enhancing handling and traction by reducing body roll. Constructed from high-grade steel, the front springs feature 3/4-inch wire material, a fixed spring rate of 1,100 lb/in, and a free height of 11 inches, offering a 3-inch drop. The rear springs utilize a .600-inch diameter wire, are rated at 300 lb/in, and have a free height of 9 inches, providing a 5-inch drop. Both sets of springs come with a durable gloss black powder coat finish for longevity and ease of cleaning. The kit includes all necessary new Grade 8 mounting hardware, and the rear spring retainers are primed and ready for custom finishing. Installation is presented as a manageable DIY project, achievable in a few hours with common hand tools, a floor jack, and jack stands. The kit is designed as a direct replacement for stock springs, working with either stock or aftermarket control arms.
