3-Inch Lift Kit w/ FOX 2.5 Coilover Conversion

The BDS Suspension 3-inch coilover conversion lift kit is engineered to significantly enhance the performance and ride quality of 2011-2019 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD diesel trucks. This advanced system replaces the traditional torsion bar setup with high-performance FOX 2.5 Factory Series Coilover shocks, each equipped with a remote DSC reservoir for on-the-fly adjustments. The coilovers offer improved comfort, fade-free performance, and increased suspension travel. At the core of this kit are the FOX 2.5 coilovers, featuring a seamless alloy body, a 7/8-inch hardened stainless steel shaft, and FOX coil springs. The DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjustment technology allows for precise tuning with 12 high-speed and 10 low-speed compression adjustment points, enabling drivers to dial in the suspension for various terrains and driving conditions without tools. The coilovers are preset for approximately 2.5 inches of lift but can be adjusted between 2-3 inches using a spanner wrench. BDS includes a bolt-on bracket for the frame-mounted shock location, with a weld-in support gusset for the upper mount, maintaining reversibility to the stock suspension. This comprehensive kit also upgrades the front suspension with new performance upper and lower control arms. The upper control arms are constructed from 1.5-inch OD x .120-wall tubing, fully TIG welded, and feature premium Moog ball joints and factory-style rubber bushings for quiet operation. The lower control arms are built from high-strength, fully boxed steel with internal gusseting, integrating reinforced lower coilover mounts and utilizing Moog ball joints and rubber bushings for durability and smooth performance. Important notes for installation include potential minor metal trimming with specific tire and wheel combinations (35x12.50R20 on 20x9 with 5-5.5" BS), and that minor welding is required for the upper mount reinforcement. The coilovers are preset for diesel models; GAS engine models may require preload adjustments to achieve the desired ride height, as the provided adjustment may not be sufficient. Factory 17-inch and 18-inch wheels cannot be reused, while factory 20-inch wheels may fit with stock tire sizes. Dually models require aftermarket 20-inch wheels with a maximum tire size of 285/60/20. The estimated installation time is 6 hours with a difficulty level of 4 out of 5.
