3-Inch Mandrel Bent Stainless Steel Downpipe w/ Cat

The HPA HVA-250-STREET is a performance downpipe engineered to optimize exhaust flow and reduce turbocharger back pressure, thereby improving engine heat management. This fabrication assembly is constructed from .063 wall T304L stainless mandrel tubing, precision TIG welded and Argon back purged for superior interior and exterior finish. Its robust design includes a CNC-formed hanger and laser-cut flanges, ensuring durability under high thermal conditions. The flex coupling incorporates an internal stainless steel interlock liner for smooth flow of exhaust gases. This downpipe features a 76mm (3-inch) diameter and is made from full T304L stainless steel construction. It is equipped with a 100-cell high-flow metal catalytic converter and includes a reducer to facilitate fitment with the OEM cat-back exhaust system. Notable features include Argon back-purged TIG welding, a CNC-cut lower hanger bracket, an interlocking low-profile flex joint for stability at high EGT, and substantial weight savings compared to the factory unit. The factory O2 sensor placement is maintained, and a 3/8 CNC laser-cut turbo flange connects to a stainless slip-fit AccuSeal band clamp for the mid-pipe. Vehicle fitment is specific to AWD models, including the 2007-2014 Volkswagen Golf/Golf R (MK5/MK6) and the 2006-2013 Audi A3 and S3 (8P).
